Product Description

A beautiful hand carved wooden Jharokha reminding The Royal Rajasthani tradition. Measuring 28inches in length x 15inches in breadth x 4inches in height this finely hand carved Jharokha is a true example of the artistry craftsmanship of Rajasthani handicraft. This carved decorative Jharokha takes you back to royal Rajasthan, where kings appeared before their subjects on ornately decorated balconies. Made on a smaller scale, this work of art can be used as a frame for images or idols in your home, or to adorn your window and add some royalty in your interior. This typically Mughal architectured and Rajasthani architectured Jharokha, jutting forward from the wall plane could be used both for adding to the architectural beauty of the building itself or for a specific purpose. It is an ideal decorative and gift item. This wooden Jharokha is gold painted in the front to highlight its beautifully carved designs. The carving is in floral creeper motifs which are traditional in design. The main highlight is the curve with ten gold painted spikes at the front which is eminent in The Pink City-Jaipur ( Rajasthani) architecture, as can be seen in Hawa Mahal popular landmark in Jaipur. The base is designed with embossed checkboxes and is brass painted. There are two pillar imitations continuing from the curve giving it proper Jharokha look. The base is decorated with five brass painted spikes giving it a complete royal look. It has two hinges provided at the back so that it can be easily hung on a wall or placed on a wall. It is well varnished to protect from moisture damage. This traditional piece was previously meant only for Rajasthani royalty but today this regal touch can be part of your home interior as we bring this authentic piece to you in some easy steps.
